Carbon Brews W(cb)²: Tropic Thunder

Collaboration brew with West Coast Brewing | Session Hazy Fruited Sour

ABV: 4.2% | IBU: 12

w(cb)²: tropic thunder, our first collaboration with good friends @wcbshizuoka, is our session hazy fruited sour perfect for the warm summer months. Pouring a cheerful light orange with deep haze, our beer radiates prominent aromas of passion fruit, guava and key lime, mingling with elegant stone fruit notes of apricot and ripe peach. Eminent tropical fruits on the palate with a refreshing sourness, together with subtle herbal and citrusy characters from the key lime, while being light bodied and extremely crushable.

 

Goldkolor

Collaboration brew with KOLOR | American IPA

ABV: 6% | IBU: 60

goldkolor is an American IPA brewed in collaboration with the local rock band KOLOR . Starts with a burst of tropical fruit aroma of mangoes and kiwis followed by citrus notes of ripe tangerine on the nose. It’s bone dry and packs a firm bitterness that carries the beer all the way through to the end with a solid muscular finish just like KOLOR’s music.

Collaboration brew with Coedo Brewery | IPL

ABV: 7% | IBU: 54

The first batch of kamehameha was brewed at carbon brews in 2019 Hong Kong, and this second batch was brewed at COEDO.

Made with rice grown in Saitama, it has a clean and crisp taste with a fruity aroma and deep bitterness from the six different hop varieties used in large quantities, which brings out a variety of personalities to the fullest, creating a colourful new taste.​

Using Fineprint’s Peel Street blend giving lovely aromas of coffee, berry fruit and a little nuttiness with a beautiful dark roastiness and liquorice on palate.

ABV: 3.5% | IBU: 8

Full of ripe citrus, nice floral aromas of elderflower and chamomile coming through with a little verbena. Super refreshing with lots of orange zest, super crushable.

Collaboration brew with Christopher Doyle (杜可風) | IPA

ABV: 6.4% | IBU: 50

A robust American IPA with a sturdy malt backbone. Pours a lovely pale yellow and bursts with mango, orange and peach with undertones of grapefruit and a little dankness. Citrus and pine dominate on the palate with a beautiful dry crisp finish.

Collaboration brew with D-mop | Fruited Coffee Sour

ABV: 4.5% | IBU: 6

Pours a hazy pink from the truckload of guava we added. This beer is fermented out on guava and raspberry and then added to wholebean coffee. Aromas of guava, coffee and raspberry with a little vanilla balancing perfectly with a subtle sweetness and crisp tartness leaving you a mouthwatering and lingering finish.

Rogg n waddle

Collaboration brew with HABA | Roggenbier

ABV: 5.0% | IBU: 15

Coppery-brown with a little haze. Strong rye and phenolic spices with a hint of banana esters. On the background toasted beechwood emphasizes the spiciness. Low bitterness and medium carbonation help to accentuate the caramel, biscuit and subtle spice character.

Collaboration brew with Fringe Club | Fringe Lager

ABV: 5.2% | IBU: 20

Pours brilliantly clear straw gold with white foam. Pleasantly mild bread and malt aromas are followed by similar fresh-bread and the malt flavours held in balance by finessed hop bitterness. The finish is clean and crisp.

Collaboration brew with Christopher Doyle (杜可風) | Double hazy IPA

ABV: 7.6% | IBU: 19

Pours a hazy golden yellow. Ripe tropical fruit on the nose with mango, pineapple and cantelope melon. Dank and juicy on the palate with papaya and citrus peel.

Stout with coffee. Breakfast in liquid form. Coffee to wake you up and oatmeal for your daily sustenance.

Hope & Perseverance

Collaboration brew with Heretic Brewing Co | Double IPA

ABV: 9.0% | IBU: 96

A classic American IPA brewed with Heretic. Went heavy on the hops, both in the kettle and dry hop, leading to aromas of pine, citrus and some ripe tropical fruits. On the palate dank and resinous with citrus notes and lingering bitterness.

Kveik Draw

Collaboration brew with Yardley Brothers | Dry hopped sour

ABV: 4.3% | IBU: 6

A dry-hopped kettle sour fermented at close to 40C with the Sigmund Voss strain of Kviek. Dry-hopped with Cryo Loral and Sabro which give floral, lemongrass and gooseberries aromas. On the palate, the tartness really brings out the lemon zest which balances perfectly with the crisp tartness leaving a super refreshing thirst quencher.

Collaboration brew with Coedo Brewery | IPL

ABV: 6.6% | IBU: 53

A collaboration India pale lager brewed with Hong Kong’s favorite jasmine rice and Japanese whole leaf hops brought over from our friends at Coedo Brewery. The jasmine rice helps build a dryer lager base to allow for the Shinshuwase and Kaikogane hops to shine through with their floral and orangey bouquet. The beer is moderately bitter on the palate from the hefty hop dosage but finishes crisp like a lager.

G.L.O.B.

Collaboration brew with Pink Boots Society HK | Session IPA

Abv: 5.0% | Ibu: 33

A sessionable IPA which showcases the special Pink Boots hop blend – a well-rounded mix of Pacific Northwestern varieties. Lychee and mango shine through in the aroma, accompanied by a hint of citrus and gentle floral notes. Its soft bitterness and low ABV make it a very easy-drinking beer.

Collaboration brew with MoonDog Craft Brewery | Pavlova Double NEIPA

ABV: 8.3% | IBU: 23

Tropical fruits and vanilla on the nose with strawberry and passionfruit prominant. On the palate very fruit forward with the hops balancing out the fruit and vanilla to leave you with a super fruity smashable pavlova NEIPA.

Tears of Fury

Collaboration brew with To øl | Chili Imperial Stout

ABV: 8.8% | IBU: 70

Aromas of dark chocolate, fragrant chili, caramel and hints of coconut leading into a rich balanced mouthfeel with chili and cacao dominating. Finishing with a smooth lingering warmth and bitterness.

Yuja Pop

Collaboration brew with ‘ello | Salted Yuja Sour

ABV: 4.1% | IBU: 5

Very strong citrus notes dominated by yuzu, mandarin and lime. Medium-bodied with a nice sweetness from the malt balancing with the yuzu and orange giving a super refreshing citrus tartness that lingers. Another thirst quencher.
